Born in Istanbul in 1983, İsmail Eren Ünlü joined their family company Akümsan Plastik Ürünler A.Ş. as an Automotive Project Engineer, and then worked in the Product Development and Sales departments. Ünlü is currently the Sales Manager of the company.

Ünlü holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a master's degree in Finance Management. Ünlü is fluent in English, and married with two children.
