The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Plastic, Rubber and Composite Industry Council convened at TOBB to elect the Council President under the chairmanship of TOBB Vice President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu and to consult on the current issues of the sector.​

TOBB Vice President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu said in his opening speech that the Councils, in accordance with article 57 of the TOBB Law, are platforms which brings together public-private sector-sectoral non-governmental organizations on legal grounds. He emphasized that the aim of the councils is to solve the problems encountered on a sectoral basis, to work towards implementing these solutions and to contribute to the development of sectors at the final stage.
