RePlast Eurasia – 3rd Plastic and Fiber Recycling Technologies and Raw Materials Fair brought together industry professionals at the TÜYAP Fair Center on March 26–28, 2026, in collaboration with PAGÇEV. The fair showcased plastic recycling machinery and technologies, collection and sorting systems, certification and testing services, petrochemicals and recycled raw materials, as well as yarn and fiber recycling machinery.

The rapid increase in raw material prices has boosted interest in recycled materials at the fair.
Every Collaboration Contributes to the Vision of a Sustainable Industry
Speaking at the opening of the event, which stands out with its international participant and visitor profile, İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager of Tüyap Fair Organizers, stated:
“Today, we are not only cutting the ribbon of a fair; we are also taking a strong, determined, and historic step together in the green transformation journey that will fundamentally shape the future of our industry and our country. In this critical period our world is going through, the multidimensional fight against climate change, the permanent establishment of environmental sustainability, and the vision of green transformation are no longer a matter of choice or corporate social responsibility for institutions.
These concepts have become integral building blocks at the very heart of global competitiveness, sustainable economic development, and modern industrial policies. The transition to a circular economy model is the only key to existing in the world of the future.
At this very point, RePlast Eurasia stands out not merely as an exhibition space, but as a visionary platform that strengthens the capabilities of our plastics recycling sector, showcases groundbreaking innovative technologies, and provides a strategic ground for international collaborations that transcend borders.”
A Strategic Opportunity for Türkiye
At the opening of the fair, PAGÇEV President Yavuz Eroğlu also drew attention to the strategic importance of the recycling sector, stating:
“At the point we have reached today, waste is no longer merely an element to be disposed of, but has become a high value-added raw material. In many markets, especially in Europe, the use of recycled content is no longer a preference but a necessity. For example, in Europe, it is required that 25% of the plastics used in the automotive sector consist of recycled raw materials. In some products, there is a requirement of 30% recycled content.
Without meeting these criteria, it will not be possible to export to Europe. In this context, the RePlast Eurasia Fair, which we are organizing for the third time in Istanbul, is of great importance in supporting this transformation. With the right strategic steps, Türkiye can become a significant hub in the global recycling industry.
This year, due to the rapid increase in raw material prices, we have observed a significant rise in demand for recycled raw materials, which has also generated strong visitor interest at the fair.”
Emphasizing that Türkiye holds a significant advantage in this process, Eroğlu added: “With our strong industrial infrastructure, geographical location, and production capabilities, Türkiye has the potential to become a regional hub in recycling. Platforms like RePlast Eurasia will strengthen our sector’s international competitiveness and further reinforce our country’s position in this field.”
